How to Make Oregano Tea To Get Rid of Sinus Problems

Sinus troubles got you down? Painfully plugged and nothing works? Try making this simple oregano tea to clear your head, and sinuses

Things You'll Need:

1 to 2 teaspoons of oregano

1 cup boiling water

Tea Cup

Tissues

1

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over one teaspoon of crushed oregano and let steep for three to 5 minutes. This will create your sinus clearing oregano tea. Go ahead and inhale the steam as your tea steeps. It smells good and the steam will help to clear your sinuses as well.

2

Drink tea after at least three minutes have elapsed. You can sip or chug. Personally, I chug it. However, my friend who uses this remedy sips and allows the steam to go up her nose between sips. Either way seems effective. The taste is an acquired one, somewhat medicinal, but the results are well worth it.

3

Soon after you drink the tea you will need your tissues, as the oregano tea loosens the mucus build up in your nose and gets things flowing. Sometimes you will also experience some coughing that clears the sinus drip accumulations from the back of the throat.

4

Repeat as necessary throughout the day. If necessary, increase from one teaspoon oregano to two teaspoons per cup of boiling water. I drink the crushed leaves, but you can strain them if you feel the need.
