How to Make PMS Oil for Cramps

The discomfort from menstrual cramps can range from mildly to debilitatingly painful. A gentle abdominal massage can help to alleviate cramps associated with PMS, and when you combine it with a beneficial herbal massage oil, the results are even more pronounced. Make yourself some PMS oil that is completely natural and chemical-free.

Things You'll Need:

6 oz. sweet almond oil

Small, darkly-colored glass bottle with a secure lid

15 drops essential oil of geranium

7 drops essential oil of chamomile

4 drops essential oil of sage

4 drops essential oil of cypress

5 drops essential oil of St. John's wort

22 drops essential oil of lavender

1 vitamin E capsule

1

Put the sweet almond oil in the small glass bottle.

2

Drop all of the the essential oils carefully into the bottle.

3

Open a vitamin E capsule and add the oil to the other ingredients in the bottle.

4

Attach the lid securely and shake the bottle to mix the ingredients thoroughly.

5

Massage the PMS oil into your abdomen or lower back as often as needed.

Tips & Warnings

Sweet almond oil is soothing and has a delightful, light scent, but you can successfully substitute other oils as well. Sunflower oil, evening primrose oil, apricot seed oil or even cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil are all excellent choices.

Essential oils are usually found at health food stores or herbal supply stores. Craft shops that carry soap-making supplies generally carry essential oils, as well.
